Erin Nelson, APSW-IT

Hello, I'm Erin Nelson. I am an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) holding both a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Master of Social Work (MSW), and I am licensed in Wisconsin.

Most of my professional experience has involved working in child welfare and foster care settings, where I have had the privilege of supporting children, individuals, and families from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. This work includes extensive training in child welfare, foster care, adoption, and kinship care, and it continues to shape how I show up for the people I serve.

My Approach

I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel heard, respected, and supported, and are able to build on their strengths in a safe and collaborative space. My approach is client-centered and solution-focused, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify goals and build practical steps toward change.

I hope clients feel supported and valued in our sessions and leave with the sense that they don't have to move through their struggles alone.
