A Healing Place is very thankful to have the opportunity to be a part of Neenah and the Fox Cities community. Community and connection are the foundations of healing, which is a part of the mission of A Healing Place.  The founder and owner of A Healing Place, Lisa Anderson, truly believes that being a part of a community means being willing to give back to her community.

With this in mind, we have created The Giving Tree, a 12-foot tree that has been repurposed to be used as The Giving Tree and has a new theme of decorations each month. It is located in the lobby of A Healing Place and each month a charity organization will be chosen to donate money and material objects on their wish lists. We also have a link below if you would prefer to give a monetary donation. Please join us in showing our community that we care and learn more about the agency chosen for this month. All donations are appreciated.

June’s Giving Tree featuring: Neenah-Menasha Emergency Society Back To School Fair

Neenah-menasha emergency society Mission:

The mission of Neenah-Menasha Emergency Society is to provide emergency resources to support residents of the Neenah-Menasha area who are unable to provide for their core needs.

About Neenah-Menasha emergency society back to school fair:

NMES members collaborative with both the Neenah and Menasha school districts to reach out to children in need. Children are identified by schools, social service agencies and other sources. All of these children qualify for the free lunch program at their schools.

The Fair is held in August of each year. At that time, each child receives a backpack containing supplies and a certificate for a pair of shoes redeemable at Rogan’s. They also receive information about the services offered by other community organizations such as YMCA, Neenah and Menasha public libraries, Boys and Girls Brigade, Best Friends of Neenah-Menasha, LEAVEN, Community Clothes Closet, St. Vincent DePaul thrift shop and Goodwill.

The Back To School Program is a fund and easy way to help out kids in our communities. A new backpack and supplies can put the biggest smile on a child’s face!
